Pretty, stylist and Hardworking skin expert, Mrs Folashade Fatoyinbo, is the Chief Executive Officer of Poshglow Skincare, one of the leading brands in skin and beauty business in Nigeria. In this interview with Landmark Africa Magazine, she talked about her success, products, challenges and Covid-19 Pandemic.

Tell us alittle about yourself?
My name is Mrs. Folashade Fatoyinbo. I am a happy mother of two lovely kids. I am from Ekiti State and I own Poshglow Skincare.

What’s the idea behind Poshglow Skincare products?
The idea behind Poshglow Skincare products is desire to deliver affordable, quality and skin-friendly products to all who want to pamper and care for their skin.

What informed your going into the beauty industry?
The passion I have for a glowing and blemish-free skin drove me into this amazing industry.

What’s unique about your product among others?
Aside being affordable, our skincare products are purely organic. Our products are of the best made from the most quality ingredients and they are NAFDAC certified.

Do you make your products or you import?
We make our products from scratch to finish.

How do you source for your materials?
We get our materials locally; getting the best from trusted farmers.

What do people need to know when buying beauty and skincare products?
When buying beauty and skincare products, it is pertinent to know one’s skin type, also, one needs to be on the look at for the ingredients so as to avoid irritation and skin damage.

You are a beautiful woman, how does it project your business?
Being beautiful projects my business positively.

What are the lessons you have learnt from the pandemic?
The pandemic rolled out new economic forms of transacting business; I have been able to make sales from the comfort of my home, organize virtual meeting and position my business strategically on social media.

What are some of the challenges and how have you been able to surmount them?
At the on set of the pandemic, I was worried about patronage, customer retention and satisfaction. However, we got our acts right by checking on our customers via SMS, chats and other social media platforms, improving on our online marketing strategy and maintaining the best quality.

What advice do you have for young ones who want to go into the beauty and cosmetic industry?
They should be determined, courageous, unique and be willing to unlearn learn and relearn.

How do you relax?
I unwind by sleeping, reading and listening to music.
