Paris 2024: Waldrum demands Euro camp for Super Falcons-
Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum has demanded that his team train in Europe to prepare them for the 2024 Olympic Games.
The nine-time African champions secured their passage to Paris 2024 after a 1-0 aggregate win over longstanding rivals, Banyana Banyana of South Africa.
The Super Falcons will face world champions, Spain, Japan and Brazil in Group C at the Olympics.
Waldrum said he wants the Super Falcons to prepare well so as to be able to compete well against the teams in their group.
“My plea is to help us to prepare properly, we need to camp in Europe, we need proper training, proper transportation, we need to do things right,” Waldrum said after the game against Banyana Banyana in Pretoria.
“Every team at the Olympics is top, like the World Cup, we’re in the ‘Group of Death’.”
